At Otjikondo, education is about more than teaching in the classroom. In a country where long distances often limit access to education, Otjikondo School Village Foundation provides children from rural Namibia with a place to belong, learn and thrive with confidence. For many of our learners, Otjikondo is not only a school, but also a home away from home. Here 240 children live, learn, play and grow together in a safe and supportive environment designed around their wellbeing and future.

We believe that education should empower children far beyond academic performance. Alongside strong primary schooling, we encourage creativity, cultural identity and values such as respect, responsibility and compassion – helping children discover their strengths both inside and outside the classroom.

Under the leadership of Principal Mrs Shilongo, our dedicated team of teachers, staff, parents, volunteers, as well as donors and long-standing supporters from Namibia and around the world, are creating opportunities that help children build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.
